Smart Advanced Modeling for Care
Overview
The SAM4CARE “Smart Advanced Modeling for Care” project (2018).
The consortium includes Associazione Silenziosi Operai della Croce – SODC (external institutions), PIOTR SPALEK (referent external tutor), Politecnico di Milano. Politecnico di Torino will be responsible for the research activities for BIM (Building Information Modeling), VAR (Virtual and Augmented Reality) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
SAM4Care puts together two “souls”: one related to the ability to model and manage big quantities of heterogeneous data relating to the integration between new and built/historical heritage; the other one related to the ability to take care people that for different pathologies and for different reasons have to spent long time in the health buildings.
Goals
One of the challenging aspects of SAM4Care project is the efficient and comprehensive collection of user input and integration with data from heterogeneous devices and data sources.
Thanks Interoperability, BIM (Building Information Modeling), VAR (Virtual and Augmented Reality), BMS (Building Management Systems) and smart data from different kind of sensors, will be used in a multidisciplinary way to design/refurbish historical buildings as well as to monitor people.
The idea is to create an outstanding solution by means of better understanding user needs, capturing and developing new ideas for a great overall user experience, and testing the solution to ensure its usability
